Day 3: The 2013 Open Championship

There's just one day left of the 2013 Open Championship now, and the leader going into tomorrow's final round is Lee Westwood, who is at 3-under with a two shot lead over Hunter Mahan and Tiger Woods. Again, today's round yielded higher than normal scores, with the highest round of the day going to former co-leader Shiv Kapur, who shot a 12-over 83 and is in last place. The lowest round of the day was 3-under and was shot by Hunter Mahan (T2), Sergio Garcia (T11) and Richard Sterne (T19). Second round leader Miguel Angel Jimenez faltered today, shot a 6-over 77 and is tied for 11th.

Despite the leading score being 3-under, many are saying that players as far down the leaderboard as 5-over could still be in contention for the Claret Jug come Sunday afternoon, it all depends on how the course will play tomorrow. Currently, there are 18 players within 6 shots of the lead.

My picks are doing okay still. Dustin Johnson is at 3-over and tied for 11th. Graeme McDowell is at 6-over and is tied for 25th. Geoff Ogilvy is at 9-over and is tied for 51st.

No matter who wins tomorrow, I'm sure the final round will be very interesting,
