The second day at Muirfield was much tougher, according to golfers and the scores clearly reflect it, with most of the field shooting over-par rounds. The lowest round of the day was a 3-under 68, by Lee Westwood, and surprisingly Charl Schwartzel, who seemed to play much better after throwing his club in his first round. This was mainly due to the wind coming from a different direction this round.
All of my picks made the cut, luckily. Dustin Johnson shot a 1-over 72 and is tied for second. Graeme McDowell shot an even round and is tied for 34th. Geoff Ogilvy shot a 4-over 75 and is tied for 69th.
As of now, there are 10 players within 3 shots of the lead, so it should be very interesting to see how the weekend rounds fare out, and who will be the winner.
