2013 RBC Canadian Open Preview

Well this is it, the time of the year when the PGA tour heads up north for a week to Canada to play the Canadian Open. This year, the tournament is returning to the Jack Nicklaus-designed Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville, Ontario, just 30 minutes from downtown Toronto.

The tournament this year is filled with many of golf's best including Graeme McDowell, Hunter Mahan, Charl Schwarzel, Bubba Watson, Ernie Els, and Luke Donald, as well as Canadian golf icon Mike Weir. A full list of tee-times for Thurs/Fri can be found HERE.The weather also looks like it's going to be well, sunny and cloudy throughout most of the tournament, with possibly some rain on Saturday and temperatures in the mid 20's.

Glen Abbey has been considered one of the best and most elite courses in Canada, despite being ranked 43rd as one of the 100 best golf courses in Canada in 2012 by Scoregolf. The Canadian Open has also been played there 25 times since it opened in 1976; the most of any golf course in Canada. It's even home to the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame. Naturally, this course one of the epicenters of Canadian golf.

As always, I have a few picks that I think will either win or place in the top 10, in no particular order:

1) Graeme McDowell
2) Chez Reavie
3) Camilo Villegas
